Gina Zarra Blum was appointed Executive Director of At Home In Darien in June 2011. Previously, Gina served as Assistant to the Director of the Stamford Senior Center, Coordinator of the Collaborative Alliance of Fairfield County, President of the Junior League of Stamford-Norwalk and Chairman of the Fairfield County Women’s Center at Norwalk Community College. Gina holds a B.A. from Trinity College in Hartford. Her husband, children, and dog keep her busy but she enjoys finding time to play tennis and paddle.
Sandi Kornblum began working for At Home In Darien in March 2012. Previously, Sandi was a buyer for Bedford Fair Industries, a women’s apparel catalog company and Macy’s. Sandi volunteers her time with the Blind Brook School district and FARE (Food Allergy Research and Education). Sandi holds a B.A. in Sociology from Lehigh University. She grew up in New Jersey and now lives in Westchester with her husband and two children.
Sandi also spends her time as a Food Allergy Coach and teaching tennis. Sandi also enjoys playing tennis, working out, watching her children play sports and spending time with family and friends.
Val Freund was hired to work for At Home In Darien in April 2014. Previously she was an audit scheduler for KPMG LLP for 26 years. Val attended Berkeley Business School in White Plains, NY. She was born in Brooklyn, raised in Stamford, and now resides in Norwalk with her husband. Val enjoys walking, reading, and loves helping animals.
Denise McLaughlin joined At Home In Darien in March 2017. A native New Yorker working in the banking industry for a decade and a half she made the move to Connecticut in the 90’s. She has lived in Darien with her husband and two children for 20 years. Denise enjoys family road trips, hiking and her lovable Siberian Husky. You may see her in the mornings walking her fury friend in town.
