Join us for our annual luncheon featuring Mark Lachs, M.D., M.P.H., who will present Secrets of Successful Aging, an interesting and informative discussion about the physiological changes that occur when we age and how to delay physical decline. He will also discuss how best to create a supportive environment to best suit the needs of a senior including home and lifestyle changes. Dr. Lachs is the Irene and Roy Psaty Distinguished Professor of Medicine at the Weill Cornell Medical College and Co-Chief of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine, and the Director of Geriatrics for The New York Presbyterian Health Care System.

Featuring Dr. Michael Ego, University of Connecticut Professor of Human Development & Family Studies, discussing the importance of aging-in-place organizations effecting inter-generational communities. Michael Ego, Ph.D, has been a tenured Professor of Human Development and Family Studies and Asian and Asian American Studies at the University of Connecticut (Stamford and Storrs), with status as undergraduate and graduate faculty from 2005 to present. His current research is focused on persons with dementia, with special emphasis on measuring their quality of life based upon interventions related to sports memories.
